There's a very friendly and affectionate stray cat with a sinus problem who has decided he lives on my back porch.
Kevin's story was originally posted as a twitter thread. I've enshrined it here, so his history isn't lost to the temporary nature of ever-shifting social media platforms. Like a twitter thread, this will be posted in chronological order, starting from the earliest tweet to the most recent before the thread was discontinued. May this good boy bring you joy.

I call him "Stripey" after his striped tabby coat because I was trying not to get attached and give him a name because he is NOT MY CAT but he's been coming around for almost 2 years and I'm emotionally invested now. But I can't take him to the vet because HE IS NOT??? MY CAT???
Update on friendly stray cat: we have set up an appointment to take him in to the vet on Dec. 10th, and mom has agreed to take him in.
She has named him Kevin.
Kevin update: we are at the vet for his appointment. We'll see what they say about his sinus issues.
Back from the vet. Kev is sitting out on mom's patio looking betrayed.
He has been vaccinated, had his ears cleaned, and received antibiotics for a resperatory infection. No sign of a polyp without knocking him out for a better look, but we'll see if his breathing improves.
Kevin update: mom keeps texting me pictures of him cuddleing up on her every night when she's watching TV
